Vitazin-I Syrup: Each 5 ml of syrup contains Iron (III) Hydroxide Polymaltose Complex INN 200 mg equivalent to elemental Iron 50 mg, Thiamine Hydrochloride BP 5 mg, Riboflavin 5-Phosphate Sodium BP 2.74 mg equivalent to Riboflavin 2 mg, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride BP 2 mg, Niacotinamide BP 20 mg and Zinc Sulfate USP 27.45 mg equivalent to elemental Zinc 10 mg.
Vitazin-I is a special preparation of Iron, Zinc and B-Vitamins. In Vitazin-I, Iron is present as Iron Polymaltose Complex, a novel iron preparation, which contains non-ionic ferric iron and polymaltose in a stable complex. This facilitates a controlled absorption of the iron when it comes in contact with the mucosal cell surface. Being non-ionic, Iron Polymaltose Complex is more tolerable than conventional Iron form.
Vitazin-I is indicated for the treatment and prevention of Iron, B-vitamins and Zinc deficiencies.

Warning & Precautions
Caution should be taken in the conditions where there is a risk of iron overload, such as haemochromatosis, thalassemia, haemosiderosis or haemolytic anaemia
Vitazin-I is generally well tolerated. However, a few side-effects of oral iron preparations, including nausea, vomiting, constipation or diarrhoea may occur.
Generally no interactions have been observed. Since, the iron is complex bound, ionic interactions with foodstuff components (phytates, oxalates, tannin, etc.) and concomitantly administered medicaments (tetracycline, antacids) are unlikely to occur.
