Salbutamol is a synthetic sympathomimetic agent with predominant beta-adrenergic activity and selective action over beta-adrenergic receptors of bronchial muscle.
Asmolex Syrup: Each 5 ml syrup contains Salbutamol 2 mg.
Asmolex is indicated for the relief of bronchospasm in bronchial asthma of all types, chronic or acute, reversible airway obstruction, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic bronchitis and exacerbation of chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It is also used in the prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm, premature labour.
Adults and Children over 12 years: 1-2 teaspoon syrup three or four times daily.
Children of 6-12 years: 1 teaspoon syrup three or four times daily.
Children of 2-6 years: 1/2 teaspoon syrup three or four times daily or as directed by the physician.
Children of 6-12 years: 1 teaspoon syrup three or four times daily.
Children of 2-6 years: 1/2 teaspoon syrup three or four times daily or as directed by the physician.
Asmolex is not indicated for threatened abortion, together with beta-blockers and in patients who have hypersensitivity to Salbutamol.
Fine tremor of skeletal muscle occurs in some patients. Care should be taken with patients suffering from hypertension, myocardial insufficiency of thyrotoxicosis.
Use in pregnancy: It is advised to take cautions for use in pregancy.
Asmolex Syrup: Each bottle contains 100 ml Syrup.
