Aristopharma Ltd. has launched Novofar 150 mg & 200 mg tablet, which is the preparation of Faropenem 150 mg & 200 mg tablet.
Novofar (Faropenem) is the 1st and only Oral “Penem Antibiotic” with broad-spectrum activity. It is bactericidal, with a strong affinity for the penicillin binding proteins (PBPs) of the cell wall, which is essential for the multiplication of bacteria; it, thus, acts by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis. Novofar (Faropenem) is highly stable against various beta lactamases. It is highly effective in different infections: Skin and skin structure infections, Lower & Upper respiratory tract infections, ENT infections & Urinary tract infections.
