d-Alpha tocopherol is a potent antioxidant that is effective in hair growth & controls hair fall. It also protects the skin from damage caused by free radicals.
The natural form of Vitamin E (d-Alpha tocopherol) is a powerful antioxidant. It is much better absorbed in the body, ensures the highest bioavailability & retains in the body tissues significantly longer than synthetic ones. It also has anti-atherogenic, antithrombotic, anticoagulant, neuroprotective, antiviral, immunomodulatory, cell membrane-stabilizing, and antiproliferative actions. It is helpful in some neurological diseases including Alzheimer's, some eye disorders including cataracts, and diabetes and premenstrual syndrome. It also enhances male fertility, and exercise performance and relieves muscle cramps.
Tocogel 200 IU Softgel Capsule: Each soft gelatin capsule contains d-Alpha Tocopherol (as d-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate) 200 IU.
Tocogel 400 IU Softgel Capsule: Each soft gelatin capsule contains d-Alpha Tocopherol (as d-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate) 400 IU.
Tocogel softgel capsule is indicated for the treatment and prevention of vitamin E deficiency.
As a dietary supplement:

No known contraindications
It may increase the risk of thrombosis in some patients, such as those taking estrogens.
Overdoses (>1g) have been associated with minor side effects, including hypertension, fatigue, diarrhea, and myopathy.
Vitamin E may impair the absorption of Vitamin A & function of Vitamin K and potentiates the effect of Warfarin.
Vitamin E is safe in pregnancy and lactation when used as recommended doses. Higher doses are not established.
