In Fosibon-DK, USA origin coral Calcium ensures rapid ionization; and besides Calcium, Fosibon-DK contains more than 70 trace minerals like magnesium, zinc, iodine and others which are like human bone matrix thus ensures better absorption. Vitamin D3 increases the absorption of Calcium into bloodstream and the synthesis of calcium binding protein (osteocalcin). Moreover, daily 2000 IU Vitamin D3 significantly increases fetal body weight in pregnant women and effective in the treatment and prevention of Vitamin D deficiency in adult general population. Fosibon-DK Tablet: Each film coated tablet contains Calcium Carbonate (derived from coral fossil) 1250 mg equivalent to elemental Calcium 500 mg, Vitamin D3 1000 IU as Cholecalciferol & Vitamin K2 0.075 mg as Menaquinone-7.

2 Fosibon-DK tablets per day, preferably one tablet in the morning and the other in the evening with plenty of water or as directed by the physician.
Hypersensitivity to any component of the product.
Careful monitoring with reduction of dose may be needed for patients with mild hypercalciuria. In case of mild to moderate renal impairment and for long term use, plasma and serum calcium level should be monitored. Urinary calcium excretion should also be measured in patients with a history of renal stones to exclude hypercalciuria.
The common side effects may include flatulence, nausea, gastric pain, diarrhoea, skin rash etc. Hypercalciuria and hypercalcaemia may be occurred with long term treatment at high dosage.
Calcium reabsorption and urinary calcium excretion can be affected by the administration of diuretics.
USE IN PREGNANCY & LACTATION
Normal requirements of calcium, vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 are raised during pregnancy & lactation. Fosibon-DK can be given to pregnant women and lactating mothers as per the recommendation of a physician.
